HOW TO MEASURE FOR GRANITE COUNTERTOPS

Measure Twice, Cut Once!

The main goal of measuring is to get the total square footage of your countertops, islands, and backsplashes.

Your square footage total will tell you how much stone to order and allow us to estimate of the cost.

Here are the simple steps to get you going:

 STEP 1:

Measure the length and width of the entire surface you want to be covered with granite in inches using a standard measuring tape. If you are replacing existing countertops, remember to add a 1 1/2" overhang to your

depth measurement.

 STEP 2:

Multiply the length by the width. This will give you the total area in inches.

 STEP 3:

Divide the total area in inches by 144 to get the area in square feet.

Most contractors and suppliers will communicate in square feet.

If you are not comfortable taking the preliminary measurements yourself,

just let us know.

Our fabricators will be getting precise measurements during the templating

of your project prior to finalizing your order.
